| Renault has announced it plans to sell it’s
the Dacia Logan in West European markets by mid-next year.
The Logan, which has already been elevated to acclaimed status
due to the car’s cheap entry level price of only €5,000 ($6,100),
will be distributed under the Dacia brand into the Renault network.

Renault insiders say that the attention the Logan has created in East
Europe was a “swaying” factor in the decision to bring the
car into West Europe.
“The car has had an excellent reception by the motoring press and
the general public. This has led Renault to extend sales of the Dacia
Logan beyond its priority markets,” said a Renault spokesperson.
AE understand the car will start at only €7,500 ($9,100) in West
Europe, allowing Renault to have an economy brand that undercuts nearly
all other global brands.
The Logan went on sale in Romania and other East European markets earlier
last month and will then be launched in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey
later this month
