2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10

The 2004 Viper SRT-10
Dodge Viper SRT-10

Offering outrageous styling, brute power and serious, race-inspired performance, there is no other car on the road like the Dodge Viper SRT-10. It is the Ultimate American Sports Car, symbolizing extreme performance and extreme attitude.
For 2004, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 will be available in vibrant new Viper White paint, in addition to Viper Red, Viper Black and Viper Bright Silver Metallic. Further refinement features include standard red brake calipers, trunk carpet and a folding tonneau cover.

Chrysler Group’s Performance Vehicle Operations (PVO) engineers raised the performance car benchmark when they completely redesigned the Dodge Viper for 2003 -- delivering a more powerful, lighter weight, true convertible version of the icon of the Dodge brand.

The Dodge Viper SRT-10’s extreme performance begins with a 505 cu. in. V-10 engine that boasts 500 horsepower (372 kW) and 525 lb.-ft. (712 N.m) of torque -- 90 percent of which is delivered between 1500 and 5600 rpm.

The third-generation Viper -- the SRT-10 -- rides on an aluminum, four-wheel independent suspension with lightweight, high-performance control arms and knuckles, and lightweight aluminum-bodied front and rear coil-over shocks.

Polished forged aluminum wheels wear Michelin zero pressure (ZP) tires with valve stem pressure monitors. World-class braking comes courtesy of Brembo dual opposing piston fixed calipers gripping 14-inch rotors, front and rear.

The Dodge Viper SRT-10 claims some of the highest performance targets ever for a production vehicle: 0-60 mph in less than four seconds, 60-0 mph braking in less than 100 feet, 0-100-0 mph in less than 13 seconds, a top speed of 190 mph, and 1.15g lateral acceleration.

The Dodge Viper SRT-10 is built at DaimlerChrysler’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit.
