Toyota expects large sales in China next year

Toyota claims that its sales in China will grow by more than half this year and continue to easily outpace the market in 2006.

It is on course to post 179,000 sales in 2005, up 54 per cent, according to Yoshimi Inaba, TMC executive vice president.

"Our sales in China will outpace the growth of China's entire car market significantly next year," he added, forecasting overall growth over 20 percent or more.
