Pressure transducers for extreme environments

June 2006

The EWCT-312 compact water-cooled pressure transducer from Kulite Sensors is designed for use in environments such as automotive and turbine exhaust systems and can provide accurate dynamic and static pressure measurements in extreme conditions.

The device uses low cost, leadless silicon technology, a miniature water cooled “jacket” and an integrated amplifier to deliver a high bandwidth of more than 30 kHz. Its pressure range is 7 bar (100 psi) while operational mode is absolute sealed gage.

Over pressure is twice rated pressure and burst pressure is three times rated pressure. Its operating temperature range is -20 to +85ºC (amplifier and cable).

The EWCT-312 is designed to be compatible with exhaust gases and fluids and other media compatible with SiO2 and 15-5 PH stainless steel.
