| Automotive technology group Ricardo has signed a deal with China's biggest heavy-duty truckmaker to provide engineering support in the development of new products. Sinotruk recently completion an upgrade of its HAEP WD615 engine in collaboration with Ricardo. The engine now meets the Euro III emissions standard that is mandatory in China and has been uprated by 11 per cent to 400 hp. Sinotruk makes tractors, tippers, cargo trucks and customised vehicles such as concrete mixers, dustcarts and cranes. It has achieved sales growth of more than 60 per cent in the past five years.
